The Ministerial Declaration on CRVS in Asia and the Pacific emphasizes the need to address CRVS inequalities among hard-to-reach and marginalized populations, promoting universality and equity in civil registration regardless of factors such as gender, religion, or ethnicity. Countries are encouraged to conduct assessments to assess where such inequalities may exist.

This report documents the work led by CRVS stakeholders in Fiji to assess, analyze and redesign civil registration business processes, including registration of births, deaths, marriage, divorce, change of name and the production of vital statistics. The key recommendations emerging from this assessment propose strategies to realize a more resilient, user-friendly and universal CRVS system in Fiji.

The International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP) is calling for papers for the International Population Conference. The conference takes place every four years and includes plenary sessions, debates, invited panel discussions, training workshops and side meetings before and during the Conference. The Data for Health Initiative works with governments and partners to improve public health data in order to drive for better-informed public health policies. With improved birth and death records, governments can make effective health policy decisions.
