The Statistics Division of ESCAP, in collaboration with UNFPA Nepal and UNICEF Nepal, is organizing a training workshop titled "Production of Vital Statistics and Improvement of Demographic Skills", on 18-21 July 2023 in Bangkok, Thailand.

The primary objective of this workshop is to provide technical support to government officers from Nepal in strengthening their capacity to regularly produce and report vital statistics using civil registration records.

The programme comprises a two-and-a-half day training workshop on 18-19 July and 20 July (morning) at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC). In addition, there will be a one-and-a-half-day site visit to the College of Population Studies, Chulalongkorn University on 20 July (afternoon), and the Bureau of Registration Administration (BORA), Ministry of Interior on 21 July.
